Shielded Canopies Considerations

Shielding and Shielded Canopies are something that I am often asked about – and why I list only a few shielding products for the building on my website. The reason for this is that shielding needs to be done with great care – and is unique to each site. For me,...

Shielded Sheet

Shielded Sheet – Why I Love It

This Shielded Sheet is based on my extensive trials whilst travelling around the country and overseas to present training for allied industries.

I stayed at many hotels and I was exposed to super high levels of EMF/EME.

One of the hotels was encrusted with phone towers. 😧

There were some on the roof,

But there were a mass of them stuck the side of the building!

This hotel was proudly wearing them like a tiara full of diamonds!

Phone towers emit only one type of EMF/EME that can be at high levels in hotels.

Multi-level (even 2-storey) buildings can expose you to high levels of both ELF AC magnetic and electric fields…

From adjoining rooms…

AND the floor below!

As well as elevators, numerous people and their wireless equipment…

And on it goes!

(You can read more about different types of EMF/EME.)

I used to ask for the room that had the worst wi-fi…

But quickly discovered that this was not enough!

There were too many other sources to avoid.

IMPORTANT NOTE: This Shielded Sheet must be grounded. Choose which length you want here.

What is in it?

This Shielded Sheet is made from a fabulous shielding fabric called “Steel Gray.”

Which contains 40% cotton, 30% polyester, 30% stainless steel…

Enabling it to protect you from RF EMF/EME (wireless technology) and AC ELF electric fields (which is why it must be grounded).

SIZE: this sheet is approximately 1.9 x 1.4m.

In terms of shielding ability, it's shielding attenuation is 42 dB –

And has been tested against all the levels at which 5G will be used…

And stands up well.

How to Use Your Shielded Sheet

GROUNDING

It is essential that the Shielded Sheet be grounded.

This is because it attracts AC ELF electric fields to it…

Please also choose a Grounding Cable from here.

LAUNDERING AND CARE FOR YOUR SHEET

Given the material contains metals, it important to wash it in a laundry powder designed to protect its shielding abilities.

The best products is Texcare – and you can get it here.

  • Be sure to wash it at temperatures below 60°C
  • Iron without steam
  • Do not use bleach
  • Do not chemically dry-clean
  • Wash only with our special washing detergent Texcare, made without enzymes or bleaching agents

IDEAS FOR USE

I started using this Sheet in hotels when travelling.

If you are in a multilevel hotel, it is best to have a Shielded Sheet above and below you.

(You can use 1 Grounding Cable for both.)

You can also use it on the couch, as a cape, or even as a canopy.

Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose

Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose, Why I Love It

Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose is a product that can be used in so many ways.

This shielding fabric is primarily cotton…

Making it easy to care for and nice and cool to wear.

It also contains copper and silver,  to protect you against radio frequency (RF) electromagnetic fields (EMF).

This fabric has very high attenuation which means it has a very good ability to protect you from RF EMF.

It is the perfect size to use as a headscarf. When you use it in this way, you tie it at the base of your skull, which gives you extra protection in that area.

This Scarf is also large enough to be used for other purposes – such as on your lap or against your body to protect you from sources of RF EMF.

What Is In It?

Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose is made from a shielding fabric called Ultima.

This fabric contains:

  • 82% cotton
  • 17% copper
  • 1% silver

It has a very high attenuation at 41 decibels, with two layers providing 54 decibels.

Its size is approximately 77cm x 50cm – ideal for use as a headscarf.

How to Use Your Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose

Tie your Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose around your head to protect you from radio frequency EMF.

It can also be used in a variety of different ways, such as to cover your tummy, or lap or even to place on different parts of your body to protect you from sources that are nearby.

Care Instructions

When receiving your Shielded Scarf MultiPurpose please be sure to wash it using the Texcare laundry product.

You can hand wash it in a basin using the Texcare.

Or, you can wash it in the washing machine using a gentle cycle at a maximum of 30oC.

You can iron it without steam, at the lowest setting.

Please do not use bleach or chemical dry cleaning products on this fabric at all, otherwise it will
degrade the shielding ability of the fabric.

Please note that it is essential to only wash this fabric using the Texcare laundry product, as this is designed to protect the integrity of the Shielded Scarf and ensure its longevity and shielding abilities.

Shielded Beanie

Shielded Beanie – Why I Love it

I was opposed to shielded beanie and shielded clothing for many years as there is a minute risk that the RF could pass through an unshielded area, travel through to the shielding and then bounce back – giving you a double whammy. This risk does still exist.

However…

I'm now a convert.

What happened was that my local council installed their IoT to let them know when to empty their garbage bins and resulted in levels of RF escalating to 20,000 uW/m2. I had constant migraines and began having balance  and coordination issues. I checked things out with my doc (no brain tumour or other causes)… and noticed that when I was in other settings, the symptoms did not exist at all.

So, I tried one of these.

It significantly reduced my symptoms.

I now have about 5 of them – one to work in, one to travel in, a couple to hang about in… and one in the wash.

(Since trying out the beanie, I have also installed shielding – levels are low – around 20 uW/m2 now. Phew!)

This beanie is excellent at shielding at very high levels and as such is suitable for 5G. Download the shielding report here.

What is it?

The Shielded Beanie is made from a fabric called Silver-Elastic which has the shielding attenuation of 50 dB at 1 GHz. (For the non-techies – this is an excellent level of shielding.)

It is very stretchy and durable, and can be worn both as a beanie and also to shield the lower portion of the face.

The fabric is made from:

  • 80% spandex
  • 20% silver*

* Note: that silver in any product can cause discolouration over time. This does not alter its shielding properties, just its appearance.

This is an excellent protective tool against 5G and other RF technologies

How to Care for Your Shielded Beanie

LAUNDERING

Regular laundry products will damage the integrity of the shielding fabric. This means that the fabric won’t last as long as it would with proper care.

Please hand wash it using Texcare, which is specifically designed for protecting shielding fabrics.

DAY TO DAY

Please endeavour to keep your Shielded Beanie out of the sun, as this will cause the silver to discolour.

Although durable, don't be rough with it. It isn’t a hessian sack. 😉

Air Tube Headset

Air Tube Headset – Why I Love It

The Air Tube Headset are perfect for longer term use. I am not a fan of sticking the buds of earphones into my ears – I find them irritating, and have always preferred headphones for this reason.

The Headset is comfortable for long periods of time.

I use mine on all of my calls with clients and for meetings.

I do also use them with my iPhone so that I can have the phone on the other side of my shielded case and be safe while I use it (which is rare).

What is it?

Here are the specs for Air Tube Headset.

  • Plastic, stainless steel and anodised aluminium components
  • 3.5mm plug or USB plug
  • <2 meter-long cable
  • The last 24 cm is a plastic tube allowing sound to travel to your ears without wires – this creates distance from the wiring, an important step in reducing exposure (reducing your exposure to EMF)
  • Mono (If you are looking for something in stereo – check out these)

More Details About Air Tube Headset

  • The wires that are present (in the lower portion) are shielded (reducing your exposure to EMF)
  • The loudspeaker is not magnetic (reducing your exposure to EMF)
  • The microphone is passive, ie it is a receiver and does not emit (reducing your exposure to EMF)
  • The entire length of the durable cable from plug to headset is close to 2 metres! There is a curly cord section, which keeps the cable tidy, but can easily stretch out to allow you to move about AND be a significant distance from your phone or other device (reducing your exposure to EMF)
  • The microphone improves the sound of your voice by “focusing” on your voice and not the sounds all around
  • They are lightweight
  • The T-shaped end is padded (it rest against the head)
  • The microphone angle is adjustable, and has a 330 degree range of movement
  • The ear cushion is high quality, long-wearing, is comfortable – and there is even a spare one in the box!
  • The headband is stainless steel and flexibly adjusts to fit most heads

How To Care for Your Air Tube Headset

Be gentle with them…

Don't toss them in a bag and knock them around.

Shungite

Shungite – Why I Love It

Shungite is one of those things that I really like.

There is some controversy around this, so I want to explain my stance.

I totally object to people buying “bibs and bobs” to be “safe” from EMF. Most of those are dreadful marketing gimmicks that do little more than give you a false sense of security, thus causing you to increase your exposure.

What I advocate is that you reduce your exposure to EMF.

Plain and simple.

From here, an add-on (shungite) is acceptable to help reduce the effects of EMF that is out of your control.

I’ll share an example to help clarify.

You’ve cleaned up your home and workplace. Your smart meter has been shielded, you have no wi-fi, you keep cables away from your bed… There really is very little in it that would contribute to “electrosmog.”

However, when you go out into the world to get groceries, for instance, you will be inadvertently exposed to EMF. In this case, carrying some shungite with you can be helpful.

You may also choose to keep some in the meter box, as long as you remember to “erase” it regularly.

What Is It?

Shungite pieces are in their natural form – they have not been tumbled. Each piece is irregularly shaped and have natural variances and lines within them. They are natural and therefore “imperfect.”

Pieces vary in weight and shape.

  1. “10g” = 10-19g
  2. “20g” = 20-29g
  3. “30g” = 30-39g
  4. “40g” = 40-49g
  5. “50g” = 50-59g
  6. *60g” = 60-69g
  7. *80g” = 80-89g
  8. *100g” = 100-109g

Due to their carbon content, they are “messy” to handle – a bit like drawing with charcoal, they make your hands black (NOTE it is easy to wash this off).

I supply these in a colourful drawstring bag.

This is Russian Shungite.

Research

Cyril W Smith, author of Electromagnetic Man, did some research into its efficacy and concluded that

Conclusion

Potential Benefits

Shungite can block bio-effects of computers, mobiles and other electronic devices. It should also block the effects of fields associated with “Smart Meters” particularly if the Shungite is immersed in water (and sealed in plastic for safety). An 8 gm piece of Shungite in air had a coherence length of 45 cm but, if immersed in water this extended to ~18 metres!

Limitations

A living system is a system constantly adapting to its environment. This results in diminishing returns for any therapy frequency. Users may think they are being protected all the time and against all electromagnetic fields thereby getting a false sense of security and encouraging overuse/abuse. Of particular concern are the body field frequencies of a person using a device while stressed. These could become imprinted in the Shungite and subsequently trigger those stresses. Shungite will take up an imprint of an environmental frequency either by succussion or by proximity. [If it] had been lying on a WiFi router for a long while had acquired an imprint of 2.45 GHz. Shungite protection should be erased at regular intervals. This can be done by briefly placing the Shungite in a closed steel box to remove the stabilising geomagnetic field.

Notes

  1. No longer am I sensitive enough to personally feel a difference.
  2. This is not something that I can measure with my professional EMF equipment.
  3. I NEVER advocate using something like this INSTEAD OF reducing exposure – these are “add-ons.” I am stocking these for those who are sensitive who have done everything within her/his control to reduce their EMF exposure, yet are still experiencing symptoms and/or for those going into environments (short term) where they cannot control their EMF exposure.

Article on Shungite

How to Use Shungite

According to the research done by Smith, it is best to immerse your piece of Shungite in water.

It can be placed in your meter box, or within your home.

I do not recommend keeping it on you all the time. However, if you are out and about, then it is very useful to carry, for short periods.

Caring for Your Shungite

Smith recommends regularly placing it into a steel box to erase what it has picked up.
